2009 National Juried Exhibition with the Pastel Society of the Southwest

Here's more exciting news: my pastel painting titled "Le Rocher Perce V" (30" x 24") has been accepted in the 2009 National Juried Exhibition, hosted by the Pastel Society of the Southwest. This is a larger version of the painting that got an award at the North Hills Gallery last Friday. The juror is Bob Rohm a well known pastelist.

The show will be from October 16 until November 14th at the Art Center of Plano, 1039 East 15th St, Plano, Texas, 75074, 972-423-7809. The Reception and awards ceremony will be on Friday, October 30th from 6 - 9 p.m.

Awards - North Hills Gallery Exhibition with The Austin Pastel Society

Jo Castillo was right: I got two more awards yesterday at the North Hills Gallery reception for the Exhibition with The Austin Pastel Society! I was hoping to get one and I got anHonorable Mention Awards for each of my two painting in the exhibition:



Ken and I are (finally) taking some vacation next week. I may be quiet for the next few weeks, since I realized I have so much (other than painting :( ) I need to do before we leave...

Marécages

This is my oldest artwork that still exists. It's a finger painting that I did in kindergarten. I remember when I did it and I've always liked it.

North Hills Gallery Exhibition with the Austin Pastel Society

Today I dropped off two paintings and helped to hang the Austin Pastel Society (APS) 2nd Annual North Hills Gallery Exhibition. There are a little over 50 paintings and it is a nice show.

Below are the two paintings I entered in the show. A still life "Trois Oranges" and a landscape (or seascape) "Le Rocher Perce III". Both of them are 8 x 10".
