oil study #44

How do you paint a red rose? Not sure yet... the answer is probably with practice, right?

I tried to simplify...

I know that values do the work and colors get the credit, but it would have been nice to get down the intense reds from the real rose. For highlights I used a red orange, because I wasn't able to get a light red (by adding white) without killing the red.
