North Hills Gallery Exhibition with the Austin Pastel Society

Today I dropped off two paintings and helped to hang the Austin Pastel Society (APS) 2nd Annual North Hills Gallery Exhibition. There are a little over 50 paintings and it is a nice show.

Below are the two paintings I entered in the show. A still life "Trois Oranges" and a landscape (or seascape) "Le Rocher Perce III". Both of them are 8 x 10".

Those are lovely. More awards on the way. :) Thanks for helping with the show.

These are even better in person - very nice pieces... and good names, too!

So is the exhibition open to the public- had a brief look at the website and it implied it was open to members only but I am assuming this referred to the entries.

Your work is beautiful- a bit of a generic statement I know but true

Thanks. Jo, I'm crossing my fingers :) Regina, I'll say the same thing about yours.

To happyjaqui, the exhibition is opened to public (and the entries were limited to members only, yes). It would be nice to meet you at the reception? September 13th from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m..

Hi Johanne,
The title of your "Trois Oranges" reminds me of the Russian opera "Love for Three Oranges". And your picture does sing! I also love all your pictures of the Rock.
