Oil studies for sale at the YMCA

Today I went to the YMCA in North Austin (where I exercise) and put three of my oil studies in a display window. 15% of the sales will go to the YMCA Partner of Youth. It's an unusual display for the YMCA but the fitness director (Ron Perry) and I thought we would give it a try and see if anything comes out of this. Who knows?

What a good idea. Hope it works out.

I have never seen such a neat and artistic bulletin board display in any YMCA/YWCA I have visited. This should draw the attention of perspective buyers to your oil studies. I hope so! Good luck.

Johanne, good luck with the project. The more people that see your art the better, and to help someone out is wonderful!

Thanks for your kind words. The fitness director hopes it will attract other artists to do the same. Hopefully it will grow into something bigger... will see.

Hey, I'm happy to report that I sold two paintings so far at the YMCA venue... I cross my fingers for more sales.

Johanne, these recent works are wonderful, I too love the lost and found edge on the still life with the blue bottle. Very well handled. You are really marching along with these oil paintings, good job!!
