Oil study #135

I'm pretty happy with this one too!!!

I have a harder time taking pictures for oil than pastel paintings. Part of the difficulty is the way the light hits the brushstrokes. In this painting, the reflected light on the oranges is closer in value to the orange than in the photo, and the cup is lighter than the left side of the left orange, hmm... I'll try to take another picture.

Oil on canvas panel, 6 x 6"

Your orange slices are looking yummy, Johanne! A lot of discipline there in your brush strokes - that looks so hard to do.

Love your still life work Johanne... can't wait to see your move into plein air!!

Thanks Mitzi. If I can get less overwhelmed with plein air that would be a big step for me :)
