Golden Cottonwood

Last week I went for another 3-day workshop at the Windberg Art Center with Mike Windberg. The subject this time was the "fall colors".  I learned a lot and I really enjoyed it. Among other things I learned to work on  an oil painting over a few days. I'm happy with the final painting (below). It is more detailed than I'm used too. I must say that Mike W. has added quite a bit to the foreground for learning purposes ;)

Really beautiful, Johanne! The tree is really well done. And your colors really depict a feeling of fall.

Definitely a favourite. The yellow/gold tree is gorgeous and the foreground is perfect for the tree.

Wonderful, just absolutely inspiring. I really love the way you handled the colors and the composition. I think you are onto a style that will serve you well!!
