Clouds Rolling In

A few weeks ago I took a workshop on painting clouds in oil with Mike Windberg at the Windberg Art Center in Georgetown, Tx.

Below is the first painting I did in the workshop. I struggled quite a bit and Mike had painted quite a bit on it to show me different things. So when I came home it felt like some else's painting. So I reworked it until I felt it was mine... still not too sure what to think about this one...

Hi Johanne,
I think it is lovely, not only the clouds but the rest of the picture as well.

Thanks Pam. You're right workshop are very stimulating. They give me an extra push that I don't get by working alone in my studio.

I think all your cloud paintings are excellent! This painting as a whole is very appealing. Nice job!

Thanks Virginia for your kind words. I need to find some reference pictures of cloud/sky to practice some more or try it outside :)
