"Canadian Geese Landing", Oil 6 x 8"

I like everything about this one! And probably even more so that I had no expectations when I started it.
I used a different palette consisting of an earthy version of the basic primary colors Yellow, Red and Blue. This is similar to the limited Zorn (Anders Leonard Zorn 1860-1920) palette. I used Titanium/Zinc white,  yellow Ochre, Venetian red and Chromatic black. This palette seems to work well for a landscape without too much foliage, since it is hard to mix different greens (with yellow and black). I get my blue from mixing white and black.

Wow! Action, even. I love the "subdued" early spring colours.
