Oil study #61

My eyes keep going back to the strong edge of the bottle and the background in the back. It needs to be softer. Otherwise I'm happy with this one.

This one a cure for "plainness" in the background? I think it is. The yellow streaks that are part of the shadow are also a nice touch. I like your reflections in the bottle. Will they have to be more diffused if you soften the bottle? Not too much I hope. This is good, Johanne.

Yes, it helps with the "plainness".
I wouldn't tough the reflections in the bottle. Only the edge (line) between the bottle and the background needs to be soften. It would make the it recede and not attract the eye so much.

Hi Johanne, yes that line is very strong. Nice painting and reflections.
